Knights MPR strengthens strategic capability with appointment of Content & Insights Manager, Samira Nadkarni

Samira Nadkarni manages content and insight at Knights MPR, shaping the narratives that influence how complex industries are understood, valued and acted upon.

With more than a decade in journalism followed by senior agency and in-house communications roles, Samira brings a rare combination of editorial judgement, sector knowledge and data-led analysis. Her work sits at the intersection of communications, market intelligence and commercial positioning – translating technical, regulatory and strategic developments into clear, authoritative narratives for business, investor and policy audiences.

Before joining Knights MPR, Samira held senior leadership roles including Head of Communications at Smart Green Shipping and Head of Content at Intent Communications, where she led multi-account programmes across maritime, energy, renewables and logistics. She has delivered industry reports, policy-led research and global thought leadership campaigns for organisations including the International Chamber of Shipping, Inmarsat, Lloyd’s Register Foundation and IHS Markit.

Her approach combines qualitative and quantitative insight to develop narratives that are not only credible, but commercially effective — supporting brand positioning, stakeholder engagement, business development and market visibility. She is particularly focused on the role of insight-led communications in bridging the gap between technical capability and market perception.

At Knights MPR, Samira works with senior leadership teams to define narrative territory, develop high-impact content programmes and build authoritative positions in global media and industry channels.

Jason Knights, Founder and Lead Director of Knights MPR, said:

“Most communications programmes fail for one simple reason: they prioritise output over insight. More content. More noise. More activity. Very little influence.

“That’s the gap we’ve been addressing at Knights MPR, and today we’ve strengthened that capability significantly. I’m pleased to welcome Samira Nadkarni to the team as Head of Content & Insight.

“Her work on industry reports and strategic content programmes for organisations such as the International Chamber of Shipping and Lloyd’s Register Foundation, reflects exactly where the industry is heading.

“For us this is not a “content hire”. It’s a deliberate move to strengthen how we help clients:

define narrative territory

translate technical complexity into market clarity

and build positions that hold up under scrutiny from media, investors and stakeholders

“Because in complex sectors, visibility without credibility doesn’t convert. And credibility today is built on insight. Welcome to the team, Samira.”

The appointment reflects increasing demand for communications strategies grounded in market intelligence, policy understanding and data-led insight, particularly as organisations navigate regulatory change, energy transition and technological advancement.
